Golf

It turned out to be a mostly fine day for my first game of golf in over five years. The game has become far more sophisticated since I last played. For example, there was a small cafe at the 10th tee, where pasties and meat & potato pies could be purchased and consumed. Little surprise then that I played especially well for a few holes after that. And then, after the 18th, there were compressed-air gadgets for clearing all the debris from my shoes.

I also scored under 100 for the round - but as two of the holes were closed maybe that wasn't such a great achievement. I enjoyed it anyway. I hope my next game is before 2017. This is the view from the 18th tee.
