Final Countdown

As I begin my final week it’s with mixed emotions.
I’m looking forward to spending more time with Clare, no more passing like ships in the night, doing what I want to do, DIY, projects for the children/grandchildren and all that retirement offers.
I shall miss my colleagues, well most of them, some more than others. No doubt we will catch up over the odd beer in the future.
What I won’t miss is the frustration of repetitive jobs, the inability to do a job properly because of budget savings and people unwilling to help themselves.
But I do have two leaving gifts that are shown in today’s photo, on the left a montage made up by Steve and on the right in the frame is a signed letter from Admiral, Lord, Jellicoe of Jutland fame from Jon S.
