Mist rolling in!
We had reason to be in the Windermere area, but made a swift retreat from the town itself and Bowness when we found them to be full of people. I did take a rather nice picture of Windermere , looking across to the Langdale Pikes, but decided in the end to blip this more interesting picture. (Well I thought it was more interesting anyway).
We took the Kirkstone Pass route out of Windermere and over to Ullswater and this picture was taken at the top of the Pass. The fell is Red Screes and I just spotted the two people high up the fellside. What I also saw, and felt, was the mist moving swiftly in from the right. In a few minutes the whole fell was covered in a blanket of mist and we could feel it all around us. Just shows how quickly the mist can move and become a real problem when walking at height.
