Sunset on the Creek
Had a lovely walk down beside the creek tonight and enjoyed the Eid celebration activities that were going on and will be going on until Nov 4th.
The drummers appeared in their colourful costumes and heralded the start of everything. As we indulged in 'sweet corn on the cob' laced with lemon juice and salt as we were entertained by Georgia (the country) performing their dance routines on the open air stage.
All this despite an increasing wind speed and sand storm fast approaching that whipped every stray piece of paper into a frenzy....like the whirling dervishes!!!
Time to pack away the camera in case it got full of dust and be thankful for getting this earlier picture as the sun went down and the moon came up!
Beautiful dying embers captured in the curtain walling of the building on the far side of the creek. (pink amidst the orange!)
Home again before the sand dunes piled up.....even Lightning McQueen bouncy castle, which constituted part of the fun fair for children, had to be deflated and looked a really sorry sight for all who walked by!
Happy blipping everyone
