Fam

It's a funny thing: I am a stickler for spelling, punctuation, and grammar but I also love the evolution of language. I loathe the popular disregard for the apostrophe but I love an abbreviation or acronym. ikr?

My current fave is "fam", which applies to my day, today. My brother, Wol, came up to spend the weekend in Manchester with two of my daughters while his wife and daughter are in Spain. Today, we all met up for breakfast at Trof. (Great venue, fab food, terrible service. I say this as a regular customer.)

I love how much my kids adore my brother. On this, as on so many prior occasions, I was tempted to just sit back, to watch and listen.
