Pumpkins at the bar
Picked Mike up at the station at 12 and took the scenic route to Leigh-on-Sea. Had a lovely rib eye steak an good ale at the Crooked Billet. For a change of scenery we went to the Peter Boat for another drink, but first Mike bought some cockles, seeing that we never had any and we were in Leigh-on-Sea afterall. Was impressed with the cockles, the steak and the beer. Not the weather though; it was freezing.
On the way back we stopped at the Brewer's Arms (I think) outside Tiptree (I think) for a pitstop. At Colchester we got back on the A12 - no use driving the country lanes in the dark if one doesn't have to.
Before we dropped Mike off at the station, we had a beer and dessert at the Beagle. I had battered mushrooms, but is was dessert, only not sweet.
Blip is of the Peter Boat bar.
