Kahu camouflage

This one of three Kahu (Circus approximans) that nests yards away from the back of my house. The heat of the day combined with the a shallow DoF is causing the hazy appearance of the trees in the background (they are over 600m away in the distance).

I just got my longboard back from the repair shop this morning and promptly took it for a spin at a local surf break. It didn't take me very long to crash and burn with a fun little wipeout that resulted in me smashing the rail on the board with my ribs and elbow... back to the repair shop tomorrow! :o(
