Apple Blossoms

This little columnar apple tree was a rescue that my son brought home from a house that he'd been renting...they were going to sell the house and the tree was in a pot and headed for the dumpster. It has provided us with many years of beautiful, fragrant blossoms and delicious green apples. I can't identify the variety, however.
