Sunset at Knockhall
One good thing about the approach of winter here on the Northern Frontier is that we do get some good sunsets.
This was the view late this afternoon as the sun set behind Knockhall Castle, ancient seat of the Sinclair family and sold to Udny of that Ilk in 1633. The Udny family occupied the castle until 1734, when an accidental fire gutted the building. They then moved to their other castle at Udny Green. It's always best to have a spare castle, just in case!
