This is Letsekang

I am interviewing all the former gap year interns and writing their stories, in part so I can raise money to help them get through college and in part because their remarkable stories beg to be told, regardless.

I am amazed at how willing these youth are to tell me even the most sensitive parts of their stories. One boy, for example, told me about the time in tenth grade when he was shot in the abdomen. The bullet went straight through him without hitting any major organs. Out of shame, he did not seek any medical attention and even hid the wounds from his mother. His mother still does not know about the incident. He has two scars from the bullet's exit and entry, one on the side of his stomach, and one on the side of his back.
