Cumbernauld Old Parish Church had a visit on Thursday afternoon from an archeologist from Scotland's Urban Past, who wanted to have a look around our historic kirkyard (see also extra photo). That was followed by a chat about how we, in partnership with the community, could preserve and promote it as a resource where people could learn more about Cumbernauld's history. It was an interesting discussion and gave us some points to ponder.

We were also rather fortunate that we had it dry for her visit. The kirkyard was looking rather splendid in the spring sunshine too.
