19 days ago, we walked through here with Z and R, on the ice - heading from Regatta to the supermarket. 16 days ago, people were still going skiing. Five days ago, there was still plenty of ice around. Even yesterday, there was a fair bit of ice still in evidence, especially in the bay where the marina is, and where I took this photograph.

Today? Flat water and lovely reflections, rewarding an after dinner stroll. no sign of ice. I bet this weekend the boats will be back out on the water. Certainly this evening, practically everyone in Helsinki seemed to be out and about, running, walking the dog, making late dashes to the supermarket, or just strolling.
