Here's Colleen, our very special friend, in Cadaques granting me a very rare opportunity for a photograph. As portraits go, it is definitely in the informal category and many of you may wonder at the higgledy-piggledy background, but I like it all, especially Colleen's smile!

After Colleen's last extended visit with us in 2009, I wrote of her:

In many ways, she is our very own Greek chorus; as per Chambers Dictionary, 'a role in Greek tragedies originally undertaken by a group but latterly by an individual who chants counsel and comments on the action'. Well, we've certainly benefited from her wise counsel, and long may it be so!
