A grand day out

... on the bikes.
Making the most of the good weather, we went for an easy bike ride through Wetherby and beyond to Thorpe Arch and the newly restored bridge between Tadcaster and Boston Spa. (This old railway bridge will eventually enable the cycle path from Wetherby to reach Tadcaster and beyond - a future blip I'm sure.)
There are a number of interesting old bridges that cross the railway line on the old Wetherby line. (More info for you railway enthusiasts here.)
There is a plaque on this bridge dedicated to the memory of Doug Rawson (see extra) but I have yet to find out who Doug Rawson was - I will look it up when I have some spare time.
