Man Orchid Sunbathing

..... in the evening light. Can you see their hats, arms and legs? These are difficult to photograph as they lose themselves in the long grass, so although they are quite common here, it is rare to see them standing out like this.

The stinky water from the pond is now fertiliser on the vegetable plot which won't be planted till the "ice saints" have passed. I am finally sitting with my feet up on the balcony, newly karchered. The birds that have nested in the netting that was supposed to keep them off the beams, are not happy. If they want to live there, they will have to learn to share!
