Red-Bellied Woodpecker

.....giving you a glimpse of his red belly, if you look closely.

I dragged myself out of the house for an early morning appointment and afterward had the urge to stop at Croydon Creek for the first visit of the season.  There were lots of people around so I made my way around the back way to the trees near the feeders just in time to see this fellow and fire off a few shots.  Soon the people drove all the birds away and I was running low on energy, so headed home.  These allergies have really zapped my energy.  Hoping they ease up a bit before our big blip trip.
