Friends around the world

After 3 days of screenshots and attempted battery cycling, we called up the nice people at Motorola again (in South Africa? Marvellous, these modern telecommunications!  Bet they don't buy their kit from Carphone Warehouse OL) and we were ready to pay another £3-4 to get the Thing out of the house again.  After all, it might get lost in the post, lost by Mr Motorola or stolen en route; all these attractive possibilites passed through our minds.
