Scattering

It didn’t really take us long to decide where to scatter my Mum in Law’s ashes. She moved down here from Yorkshire 21 years ago - she had always wanted to live near the sea, and her twin brother lived here.

So early afternoon six of us - and one dog - arrived at the Woodland Burial Ground. Her ashes were laid by the lake. The sun shone, birds sang, a woodpecker drummed, geese honked, and water burbled. A good spot.

Before and after we walked along the sea front. Misty in the morning (this shot), finer in the afternoon.

Returning to our BnB from the (very dog friendly) White Buck at Burley in the evening, lightening was flashing all over the place. It felt more like continental Europe. The full force of the storm fortunately arrived after we’re had safely arrived at Milford and our temporary home. Truly spectacular.
