Walnut trees are always the last to leaf (also the last to shed them), so I was heartened to note during my morning walk that they are now in blossom (the long green tails hanging from the branches).  Somehow that says to me that summer can't be too far away.

My extra is a wonderful and fragrant display of glycine (wisteria).  It's out in abundance everywhere right now.
