Grand Place

Last time LH was in Brussels for the fitba, there was anything up to 15,000 Scots in attendance and it was virtually impossible to move in the Grand Place. This shows how things have changed. As the team have declined, so have the numbers of eternal optimists willing to follow them. Still a healthy 5,000 or so are expected. We always find it amusing looking at the bemused reactions of tourists wondering why thousands of men in kilts are wandering around.

The day began with the well intentioned plan to go site seeing in Bruges. We went for a quick beer, and were served with a 2.5 litre glass of Jupiler which took so long to nurse that Bruges fell by the way side. Many pubs were visited, and many friends made and then forgotten. Happy times.
