Thanks to a HUGE haul of secondhand playmobil which we discovered in a charity shop on Friday (during a supposed clear out operation), the children have played hard this weekend. The deep sea diving set has taken bathtime to new levels of fun!

A day of fatigue after street pastors.... my last one until December on account of the growing baby (I can no longer fasten my uniform jacket). We spent part of the evening with a huge group of 15/16 year old lads who are chucked out of home most evenings and occupy themselves with illegal substances. It’s amazing that they actually prefer eating lollipops and fruit chews with street pastors and chatting about their GCSE revision (or lack thereof). They are very easily distracted from an evening of drugs in favour of some attention from Mum/Dad types and yet they look incredibly intimidating when you first approach them. It breaks my heart to think the most deprived amongst them are more likely to be pulled into a grim life, wish we could do more than distract them from getting in a mess on Saturday nights.
