Yellow azaleas
These appeared overnight, yesterday they were still buds, but the weather has been so warm that all the azaleas , the lilac and even the rhododendrons are budding/bursting into bloom. Today was another gorgeous summery day until this afternoon when the sky turned dark in an instant and we had two almost equatorial rain-and thunderstorms. Half the blossom has now spread on the ground ! During the rain it looked as if it was snowing too, blossom petals that is ! So it looks as if the spring blossoms will disappear even sooner than expected !
Thanks so much for the 'impressionist' Abstract Thursday entries, the whole collection was such a joy to see ! Very, very hard to pick just 5, but needs must ! I'm tempted to suggest another week of Impressionism, but I'll contain myself, how about a simpler theme of 'lines' ! The tag will be AT148 this coming Thursday.
Here's my list of 5 special entries of last Thursday:
Veronica for a great clematis seeds impression
Missycat for a wonderful impressionist landscape
howesruth for a painterly fern impression
laurie54 for an impressionist desert landscape
Fotoplay for a fantastic window impression
Thank you again, also for the kind comments, stars and even hearts for yesterday's blossom !
