San Pedro - from the front

Yesterday I blipped San Pedro from the back. I was going to put in a link to show it from the front, then realised that I had never blipped it from the front. So here it is! Pretty elegant as churches go in my opinion.

The area in front of the church, where I was stood, is above the remains of old Roman baths, 'Termas Romanas' which can be visited.

The remains of part of the Roman baths cannot be excavated now as they lie underneath the church itself.

I understand that the church was rebuilt following the civil war on the site of it's predecessor, which had been badly damaged by republican militiamen.
