Sandy has arrived

We are some distance from the Atlantic Ocean, but post-tropical storm Sandy is still howling about outside. The fireplace is on, the power is holding, and we're pretty cozy. This is the view of the rain and the sheen from the streetlights out my daughter's bedroom window.
