Pendle Vale

Another step* (well 19,700 of them) on the road to recovery today. Out in the wilds of the Lancashire Moors teaching navigation skills to à great bunch of Bronze DofE kids. All this to play in, less than a 20minute run, as the Crow flies, from their school - yet none of them have ever been - to them this seems like the very meaning of wilderness. All of them started with trepidation, some have been genuinely scared and upset, all of them feel like Adventurers tonight.
That's a good start.

*some pain, to be expected, that's why we have teeth. Theres a range of movements that still hurt, and a deep ache by late afternoon, but overall pleased with how it went.
