Predated on the Path

First trip this morning was to a trailer specialist who will service valet and sell the trailer for us.
Found the above on the towpath, pretty sure it's a Moorhens egg, it's sporting a very large hole in the back of it, I am guessing a Crovid is responsible.
Some gardening done until the normal weather returned ! Got some more of Saturdays edits done so nearly done!
