Hay and straw on farm auction

This morning we auctioned off some hay bales and large round straw bales.  A number of farmers and contractors turned up - one a far as Aberystwyth!   He was a straw contractor who said there was no straw to be had anywhere up there and many animals were still inside.  They sold at a very fair price but half the price they reached when we sold a couple of weeks ago which was a record!  When you think most of the straw is going to be dirtied but then the cattle do need clean bedding.

T continued drilling this morning and managed to finish the grain crops, he now has the linseed to do before it starts to rain again!
