Deserted

I'm backblipping rather randomly as some days need more thought as to what to blip and I'm busy catching up with normal life.
Monday night was wet and very windy and not much better in the morning so we went to Grizedale forest via Hawkshead. I've never seen the place so quiet and we discovered a few corners previously unknown.
The forest walk was hilly but not too wet and by the time we'd finished and had some lunch the rain had stopped so we look the long route back. This involved a walk in Fellfoot Park, a wander round Bowness (I don't think we'll go back in a hurry) and through Ambleside and to Coniston.
