Washed Silver Birch

Sunday was washday.  Got the ladder, bucket, fairy liquid and cloths and proceeded to wash the green mould from the bark of the tree.

Harder this year because the tree put on quite a growth spurt and so the new bark has sprung out of the old bark which is still hanging like parchment around the trunk and larger branches.  You can't peel it off as it damages the tree, so we just sits and waits.

It still looks lovely and in the sun it is splendid
