Sukhumvit Road

The final full day of our 7 months abroad came to a rather undramatic climax today, got the sky train to the MBK centre, ate lunch, bought a few souvenirs then walked back.
I was marvelling at the infrastructure they have going on this road, sometimes up to 4 different levels!
At one point we were walking along a bridge and a police officer ordered us to step back from the edge. We were quite puzzled why. After about 5 mins a police convoy on the road below escorted a car through the junction. Turns out it was the Thai princess!
Imagine the complex logistical operation to keep people away from every bridge... of which there are 100s!
