i'm lucky enough to enjoy cooking and have the time to indulge in it.
christmas pudd is from a very old newspaper article and is suet free. the result is a much lighter texture so you don't have that "i've just eaten a cannon ball" feeling!
last year, with the christmas cake, it ended with just my wife and me eating it - so this year i've bought a clever cake tin that allows one to bake 4 small cakes as one! so now, any we don't eat, we can give away!
the mincemeat is also suet free which gives a better 'mouth feel'.
