Coming along nicely

The town’s Victorian bandstand, made for Gatwick when it was a racecourse and not an airport, is being restored.
It used to have pride of place in the main square, but wasn’t to the taste of any of the developers who submitted plans for the regeneration of the area. Now it stands in the small park where I stalk bumblebees every summer.
Luckily no bee-sheltering flowers have been affected by the change.
