Capital dome
. . . . as in Trenton, New Jersey’s State, gold-leafed painted, Capital dome. The building inside was refurbished back to its original splendor and is quite a joy to tour, both architecturally and historically. If I remember correctly, it’s the oldest contiguously-operating Capital building in the U.S. There are however, many new floors and wings of the building that are not historical. But one small ‘original’ section is the area that warrants the historical ‘oldest’ title!
Yay, New Jersey !
There are many State, attorneys’, and legislative offices along West State Street and all around the Capital. Hence the American Flag in full display. It was a beautiful Spring day today; a welcome reprieve.
