Esplanade

A favourite walk for many people this mile long esplanade was constructed after 1860s by the material dug out from construction of the Albert Dock in Greenock.
Whats to like? Mountain backcloth ; river and sea loch views usually with ships and wee boats ; the lines of villages along the water edges over there like Kilcreggan, Strone, Kilmun; the fine Victorian villas across the road built by shipping magnates and factory owners in the heyday of this famous town.
Quiet today not many out before lunch my eyes are streaming with bitter wind from the west better when I turn back. Soon the hail and rain are streaming down then the sun again so all's right with this world
