After seeing the French film "Custody" at the Cameo with J. Not an easy watch - I felt quite battered afterwards - but a very well-made and well-acted film, particularly by Thomas Gioria, the young boy who played Julien, the subject of a custody battle between his mother and very violent father. But I did wonder, not for the first time, about the effect on a child of being exposed to such violence, even if it wasn't "real".
