My local union branch (Unison) has an education fund, whereby they'll pay fees for evening classes and the like - I didn't think I'd be eligible but spotted a chance to refresh my Adobe Illustrator skills, which I didn't have the spare cash for, and they agreed to cover it.  So this evening was week one of five at (bizarrely) Leeds College of Music.  This image is on the outside of the adjacent BBC building.

What actually hit home, from being on the other side of the chalkface, was that what my job has become is that of an educator - and that's not what I signed up for.
