Out for my cycle today and went down to the nature reserve. The feeders have been filled again and were attracting lots of visitors including a couple of woodpeckers.

It has been a pretty grey day so this 1960 split screen VW camper van parked at the back of Thorn Marine caught my eye.

Talking about cars. As we were watching the programme about James Bond cars the other evening NM brought out a photograph of her Uncle Bob standing beside the original Aston Martin DB5, complete with 3 sided number plate and machine guns.

Bob was a delivery driver for Aston Martin at the time and he somehow managed to get hold of the car to take it out for a spin. A friend of his was the photographer for the local rag so he arranged to have some photographs taken. In the photo he looks every inch the secret agent complete with roll neck sweater and leather jacket nonchalantly leaning up against the car.
