All around the Wrekin
This view was taken on our monthly trip to Cannock Chase to take our set of seasonal photographs. Today we finally took a detour over a very large hill. It presented us with some wonderful views, although the climb was very steep.
This is the view I chose to share. In the distance you can see the huge hill known as the Wrekin. According to Google Earth it is about 23 miles away. You can see the M6 passing across the middle of the shot. Somewhere in front of the Wrekin is the M54, our route to central Wales. We often drive past the Wrekin. We also often see if from the hill of Bushbury Cemetery. If you view it larger you can see the masts on top of the hill.
In my area there is a saying that is used to describe arriving at something via a roundabvout route. We say that we 'went all around the Wrekin'.
