Bye, bye dear cypress

We have had to have our cypress cut down because its roots were causing damages to our house walls.
I know it was necessary to have it removed, but I can not avoid feeling sad about losing it. After all, we planted the tree when we came to live in this house and that was 26 years ago and it was almost part of the family.
We have taken advantage of the fact that some other neighbours also wanted to have some of their trees removed. That is why our street was really crowded this morning, as you can see in the extras.
