an unexpected love story

Once upon a time, a boy fell in love with a cloud but the cloud always seemed to chase the sunrise… He would sit in his little balcony and admire his cloud from the sunrise until the sun hid itself behind the skyscrapers. As soon as the last burning slice of the sun was gone, even though he could still see his cloud, he would run to his bedroom, his brown eyes filled with tears, and cry for hours… until he fell asleep to follow the same routine again and again, day after day. He never cried in front of his cloud though. He thought it would upset his little fluff of happiness. What he didn’t know was that his cloud always heard him. It listened to his pitiful sobs and felt the deepest of mercy and yet, the cycle went on. Until one day when the cloud just couldn't resist his dismal weeps and started crying. It melt in its tears and rained on the boy so that he could feel its touch for once. The boy never cried again.
