Dippy at Dorchester Museum

Today we finally managed to get down to see Dippy on tour. It really was magnificent - but Hadn't realised that it was a plaster cast and that the real one is in the States. Even though it wasn't the holidays the Museum was very busy with lots of young children. For Dippy head on see extra!
It was a treat to look round the rest of the Museum - the Writer's Gallery was particularly impressive with its Hardy area and William Barnes sections.We really need to visit again as there was so much to take in and we felt quite shell shocked by the end.
Packed my bag tonight ready for our weekend trip.
