Rose-breasted Grosbeak

It was an absolutely wonderful day here in Galveston, Texas.  The blip meet has been so much fun, and we have been rewarded with many photographic opportunities.  It's getting late and I could spend many more hours going through my photos, but I have to call it a day.  I'm choosing this female grosbeak for my blip because of my surprise to discover it wasn't a sparrow.  At least I don't think so.  The male grosbeak is quite colorful (black, white and of course rose), but the female has a beauty of her own.
