At FLOSSUK conference, this year in Edinburgh. The talks are really interesting and I am well inspired to look into some home instrumentation. I guess it will suffer the usual fate: lack of time. Great talk by fellow blipper on forensic photography and a 5min lightning talk on darktable and blip. Dinner was good. Roy Thompson gave a great talk on climate change and using 1 line of R to solve the problem. His conclusion is that we are headed for a +8 degree C World which would be absolutely catastrophic. However, we could tackle climate change within the current framework by charging 200£ per ton of CO2. The money raised should be distributed among the population. This way the average person would gain and the rich, heavy CO2 producer pay.
