All Hallows Eve Eve

OK, I know i'm early with the pumpkin but it's been a dreich day and I've nothing much else to blip.

As the years have gone on I've become much better with my pumpkin carving skills (although i had a bit of help from a Tesco template with this one.) Does anyone else remember a time before pumpkins when we used to carve lanterns from a swede? (or turnip)
