The real made visual

On my way out of a meeting with the New Principal & Vice Chancellor of Edinburgh University , Peter Mathieson , I stopped to admire this wonderful portrait by Victoria Crowe of his immediate predecessor Tim O’Shea which now hangs in Old College .

It captures Tim’s dynamic intellectual agility in a remarkable way and confirms in visual language the undoubted fact that he was a great leader of a great institution.
