Appleby-in-Westmorland Ford and Weir....

Not a good day today for weather but we made for Appleby to get a look at the Castle but it was locked up and no admission for the public, never mind we did have a look around the town and walk along the river. We came upon the pedestrian bridge across the River Edan, there was a Ford which is the nearer Weir and the road was visible just under the water, The real Weir is at the top of the Image.
The colours of the trees are great and this has made the stay up here very special indeed.
Talking about special, last night was special indeed, we met up with Desperately Seeking (clickychick) and her understanding Husband, we spent a while out side trying to blip the moon in between the clouds, she made a cracking image of the Moon and she was well chuffed with the result.
We had a great chat over a few drinks, and a great big thank you for everything.
