6 years old

Evie B turned 6 and loved it! Zeke was pleasingly into celebrating with her too.... helping with the cake and bits of shopping and party prep and practically assaulting her with her gift first thing this morning. So sweet!

Eve trotted into school very happily, declaring that she would pretend the leisure centre gymnastics trip was actually her party (cheaper than the real deal so I of course approved). She trotted out even more happily and loved having lots of family to celebrate with. She opted for a meal of burgers (apparently the traditional birthday tea gets a bit tired after lots of recent birthdays) and Daddy did her proud! Her cake request was “a giant chocolate cake covered in lots of sweets, Eve bunting and a baby elephant” - inventive and mercifully simple (once we’d located a suitable baby elephant). We worked off the carbs with a kitchen disco and now we’re all cream crackered.

Here’s to a hundred more years of Eve! We love her so.
