My sister's man has been doing some work for someone who keeps free range poultry and was given eggs to bring home. My sister kindly gave me a goose egg and some bantam eggs.
I remember my father cooking and eating a goose egg when I was a child. It seemed to fill the whole pan. I'm an omnivore but I'm feeling a bit uneasy about this goose egg as I have a dear goosey friend and am following the fortunes of some gorgeous goslings. My sister says she made her goose egg into a delicious quiche. The bantam eggs will be ideal for dipping with MrQ's freshly cut asparagus soldiers. :)
