FlowerFriday27_2018 More tulips

I have photographed tulips a record number of times, for me, this year and really never tire of them.  We have not successfully got them to grow in our garden so they are all supermarket bunches.  this week's offering is a 2 bunches for a very good price bargain.
After a number days of warmth and sunshine, the rain arrived this morning and hung around for most of the day.  This put paid to our plan to meet up with Violet's little friend and her mummy at Forty Hall.  They have a limited window of time and there is little available inside as the café is charming but not the best environment for two lively toddlers.
Rather than stay in, Violet, The Son and I decided to go to Ikea for lunch, a place that is definitely family friendly! There is a delightful garden themed play area in the restaurant and today a piece of fresh fruit came free with any child's meal.  What's not to like!
My extra, as usual, is of the alternative flower herself, taken after our trip out.  For the first time in ages she actually looked at my camera, rather than choosing to turn away.   This is my favourite of several rather sweet shots.
