They've shifted the seat
It used to be on the higher point on the right and the storms eroded the gravel and suddenly it became a very precarious place to sit. Keep Motueka Beautiful probably lifted it, big block of concrete and all. It looks very natural there and still a good viewpoint out to sea despite being lower.
The seat has ended up in the centre which i am not overly happy with but then I wanted the bird in top left and to show you where it used to be. Of interest to me, as Blipmate and I missed it, is the little kingfisher on that branch.
See extra to see that branch up close, Motueka's answer to the Wanaka Tree. :-))
This afternoon the Historical Assn visited the local Catholic Church to hear its history from one of the parishioners and view the many items of interest. Built in the 1980's it is quite modern with a lot of timber work but of real interest were the marble pieces that were brought from the 1917 built church that the congregation outgrew. Marble columns, and marble flower arrangement stands as well as vestments and stained glass windows make the link between the past and the present.
